Hello!
I am glad to say that this new topic for this post is more useful for
people in the world nowadays, because this post will be talked about Internet.
Generally, everybody knows what internet is. Of course, internet has been being
used for various purposes. However, this below information is set of my knowledge
that I have learned during lecture class. So let me go beyond this topic.
Probably, there are some interesting points that have never been known by some
of us before.
- Internet is global information system and largest network in the world
that connects people/organization all over the world. Internet is also known as
Information Highway.
- People use internet for finding general information or accessing
Information, sending (upload) or receiving (down load) files between computers,
participating in discussion groups, such as mailing lists and newsgroups.
- The World Wide Web is also known as Web. It contains hypertext links
or highlighted keywords and images that lead to related information.
- Web site is a collection of linked web pages that has a common theme
or focus.
The site’s home page is the main page that all of the pages on a
particular Web site.
- Web browser is a software program that is used to view web page. It is used to connect you to remote computers,
open and transfer files, display text and images. In another word is a software
program that we run on your computer to make it work as a web client.
- Web servers are computers that
deliver (serves up) Web pages. Every Web server has an IP address and possibly
a domain name.
- Hypertext is method of presenting
information which text or images contained on one document can be linked to
another document.
- Hyperlink allows user to navigate from one web document to another.
- Internet protocol is a set of rules, or protocol that allow user to
transfer file from one computer to another.
- Internet services provider is a commercial organization that sells
temporary connections to subscribers.
- URL or Uniform Resource Locator describes the location and a method of
accessing a resource on internet.
Finally, I hope all the readers could get fully understanding about
internet, and this lesson can be supportive information in your daily life. In my opinion, there is any difficulty if we accept to get it. So let enjoy ourselves by gaining new knowledge.
